Meena utilizes her unique strategic expertise to lead top-notch campaigns in the United States and around the globe. Her passion is to teach other communicators how to build digital strategy into their campaigns.
Currently, as The Water Hub’s Senior Manager of Digital she is building a program from scratch that supports the water justice movement in the West.
Meena built her unique organizing and strategic expertise during her time at Greenpeace USA, where she ultimately managed all of the nonprofit’s social media assets. At Greenpeace she learned the importance of data and research when it comes to running successful campaigns. Equally important is coalition building, where she collaborated with many other environmental nonprofits to maximize Greenpeace USA’s social reach for campaigns.
For the past decade, Meena has explored digital strategy on political campaigns and with social justice groups. As a nonprofit consultant she worked on a variety of issue areas—from foster youth empowerment to social justice. She facilitates organizations in developing a strategy for digital communications, and trains staff on best practices and tools to effectively communicate their campaigns to their audience. Her clientele has included California CASA Association, Muslim Advocates, and Partners for Dignity and Rights. As the Email Engagement Manager for Amnesty International USA, she managed the email marketing for 1.6 million human rights advocates in the United States.
When she’s not on her computer, Meena likes to tend to her thriving plants.
