Digital organizing with Community Water Center

I am thrilled to share the virtual recording with you of our latest workshop at Water Hub about Digital Organizing. I facilitated this workshop in partnership with Jerry Jimenez at Community Water Center, who is a trusted partner and our workshop VIP.

That’s right, Jerry’s been to every single Water Hub workshop so far (!!) so we had to tap his shoulder for this one, so he could share his experience and expertise with the community.

Community Water Center works to ensure that all Californians have access to safe, clean, and affordable drinking water. As the Communications Manager, Jerry shares with us how he applies digital organizing principles into practice as a team of one.

Digital Organizing can seem like a large undertaking when we are all busy trying to convert our field programs into digital in this COVID-19 world. I spend time at the start of the workshop going over principles of digital organizing and best practices. How to measure success and implement a successful content strategy are also included in the workshop.

To bring us from strategy into action, I created this Audience Profile Worksheet that you can download and use with your colleagues to profile your audiences and build empathy. Like we always say here at Water Hub: more empathy leads to better messaging.

Tweet at us @water_hub and tell us what you think of the virtual workshop and worksheet. And if you’re interested in finding out about the next event, DM us on twitter and we’ll be sure to send you an invitation.
